The Indonesian Society of Automotive Engineer (IATO) intends to hold a national seminar intended to give an evaluation on automotive biofuel specification within the country and the role of development of human resources and experts in the decade to come. This national seminar is an IATO primary activity with its professional partnership network and neutral towards the government, industry and the people.

Therefore from the series of program that will be discussed in this seminar a recommendation could be formulated toward issues related to the policy and development of automotive activity in Indonesia, especially in the supply of Biofuel in the decades to come. This input is expected to give a view on the map of Biofuel in Indonesia which covers:

  • Readiness of Automotive Biofuel
  • Implementation of Automotive Biofuel
  • Specification and Monitoring on the Quality of Automotive Biofuel
  • Challenges and Opportunity in the utilization of Automotive Biofuel
  • Challenges and implementation of Automotive Biofuel
  • Regulation on the development of Biofuel

In the end, to hold the national seminar with the theme:

THE OPPORTUNITY AND CHALLENGE OF BIO FUEL
IMPLEMENTATION AND BUSINESS FOR AUTOMOTIVE IN
INDONESIA

The support of related parties is needed in the funding of the event, for the thinker and writer of the paper and also as presenter in this seminar. In the first phase an IATO Seminar Committee has been formed with duties among other are as follows:
  • Determining the location of the Event
  • Arranging the Seminar Execution proposed working plan
  • Determining the Secretariat
  • Plans a Working and Funding Program
  • Finds Sponsorship and Fund Raising
  • Determine a topic focus that will be presented related with:
    • The policy of Biofuel Implementation toward the selling price of Fossil Fuel
    • KBM Technology and the impact of the use of Biofuel on KBM
    • World Biofuel Production Technology and Biofuels in Indonesia
    • Specification of Biofuels for Automotive
    • The demand on Biofuel, Biofuels+Fossil Fuels Production Quality Control, Distribution of Biofuels+Fossil Fuels, and Biofuels+Fossil Fuels Monitoring system and Biofuels+Fossil Fuel Prices for Automotive
    • The Distribution Preparedness and Quality control of Biofuel for Automotive from Biofuel Producer


II. EXECUTION PLAN FOR IATO 2007 NATIONAL SEMINAR
A. Place and Time of Event
The IATO 2007 NATIONAL SEMINAR will be held in the Golden Ballroom, Hotel Sultan, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, on the 23rd of July 2007, from 08.30 to 17.00.

B. Participants
IATO Members, Automotive Organization (GAIKINDO, AISI, HINABI, FOI), Fuel Industry (Pertamina, Importer, Wilmar, Sinar Mas, Etherindo, Indo Biofuel, Astra Argo Lestari, Pura Mas, Sumi Asih), Automotive Industry (Toyota, Daihatsu, Isuzu, Nissan Diesel, Ford, Mitsubishi, Indomobil Group, Mercedes Benz), Experts and Observers on the development of automotive industry, Governmental Institution (DEPERIN, DEPDAG, DEPHUB, DESDM, KLH, DEPPEND, etc), Regulator (DPR), Research and Development Institution (LIPI, BPPT, BATAN, LEMIGAS)/Standardization Body (BSN, PUSTAN) and Universities (ITB, ITS, GAMA, UI, UP, TRISAKTI,etc.)

C. STAGES IN THE EXECUTION OF PREPARATION OF IATO 2007 NATIONAL SEMINAR
So that the IATO 2007 National seminar as a product could be publicized there steps are necessary to support the immediate execution of the preparation of the seminar, among others:
  • Determine the location, means, seminar facilities, matters and tentative of the event.
  • Prepare a commercial package that will be offered to potential sponsors including its marketing strategy.
  • Look for fund raising sponsors by utilizing the communication network that is available, especially in contacting IATO supporting members.
  • Making a list of Individuals, government institution, universities and companies within the country that will be contacted.
  • Prepare the accommodation for committees and seminar participants including the programs that will be held during the seminar.
  • Prepare the necessary equipments during the seminar such as, audio visual, lighting system, telecommunication equipment photocopy machine, computer including their operators.
  • Prepare everything related with the seminar such as the decoration, fliers, direction pointers, room arrangement, security, protocol, MC etc.
