IATO - SAE Indonesia

The IATO was founded in Jakarta since 1975 together with the growing of automotive markets situation and the enhancement challenge from government policy that boost industrialization structuring in Indonesia, with this purpose we aware to response by bringing engineers that work from industries, research agency, academia government, environmental and standard organization in a spirit of cooperation to share the idea and make more contribution for our societies through suitable selected automotive technology.

IATO is an umbrella organization for all engineers that work in automotive field, as like motor cycle, automobile, heavy duty vehicle, train, ship, aero plane and aerospace, in Indonesian archipelago. Our networking of member societies until now represents more than 400 automotive engineers. Our member consist an honorary member, common members, young members that represent university students and young engineers.

IATO is an non-profit oriented organization and non governmental organization, we always committed to neutral organization through organize this professional association is controlled by engineering profession and also we as one of a member the Federation Internationale des Societes des Technique del ‘Automobile (FISITA) automotive world organization.

IATO has a mission is to help developing of science and technology automotive, power plant, related system, component, parts and equipment, for prosperity for human. To realize this mission we help to create culture workforce of engineer to focus on creating spirit on efficient, affordable, safe and sustainable automotive transportation means for our customer. We also do this mission by providing a National member congress yearly to make forum for dialogue between engineers that work on related concern parties on automotive field.

Enhancement of our services to our member society and honorary company is urgently improvement on our program activities. By establishing IATO Web-site in the first stage that will use membership registration on-line with access password will make more convenient, privacy and easy to know the updating of the data among our member societies. By linking to FISITA or another national society profession association in automotive field will help to our members in Indonesia for getting a lot of information regarding to the advances development and trend of automotive technology that implemented by OEM in the world and also their calendar activities.

IATO is also committed to supporting the education and training of university student or enhancing the development young engineer through initiatives participation such as student congress and FISITA Traveling Fellowship Program.
